I believe in a pretty simple set of things make a good teacher. If you’re honest with yourself and your kids above all else, you’re at least starting off right. Here are a few deeper details which drive my practice:

• Be what you expect your students to be
• Treat all views with discretion and respect
• Inquiry is key to a teacher’s heart
• Be objective before emotional
• Learning is organic, anything synthetic will fade and crumble
• Reflect on practice, then share with someone you trust
• Trust as many people as possible
